How to Stand Up for Yourself

Why are we so afraid to stand up for ourselves… to speak up about our pain, what we’re going through, and how we’ve been mistreated?

Is it better to remain silent, and still be one of the group    - OR –

Is it better to stand up for yourself, and be alone, proud of yourself, know your self-worth, and draw boundaries with those who disrespect you?

I had to make this very difficult decision on Thanksgiving day. It’s been a long time coming and years in the making, but I chose to stand up for me and to be okay with standing alone.
